My project is to write a children’s book and get a publisher. After a week of just thinking over the idea and spending some time in the woods to quiet my mind and to get inspiration, I thought I “Come on Amy,just start”. I took out my laptop with the intention of just getting something onto a word document and I couldn’t stop typing. I literally spent the best part of the day writing, I felt calm and uplifted, I experienced for the first time what being ‘in the flow’ means. There was no pressure, no expectation and I wrote the whole story. I was amazed as I only planned to make a start but there was a flood of ideas and they just kept coming. It’s just a first draft and needs a lot of work but I realised how much I have changed in the last year, how my mind has quietened and how I have stopped putting pressure on myself and scaring myself (or maybe it was the magic from the trees!) Anyway it’s a great feeling so just wanted to share.
