Hi Dears!
So looking forward to this new adventure withyou all – our 2021 CTI! It’s my second round. Loved last year, and even though I kind of gave up on my project – I enjoyed every minute and learned so much more beyond any project – the process became the project. … love the community and looking forward to exchanging and sharing this experience with you again!
Have a few projects on my mind – one is: a world-wide children-choir performance online & possible offline, too! & recording of a new song I wrote with the words of Malala Yousafzai – the amazing activist from Pakistan, who survived a shooting by the Taliban, and won a Nobelprize (youngest Laureate ever to receive the Nobelprize). She founded the Malala Fund, that helps young women/girls around the world to be protected and receive education. I want the song “I am many” to be pubished on the Malala Fund website and create a lot of donations for all the girls around the world that need support. Maybe the whole process could become a film – how we reach all the girls and the recording… maybe for television. Just to create a lovely event for the Malala Fund.
The other one is a project called ‘Meetings with remarkable women’ – creating music pieces, songs around woman, that have inspired me and others.

Hey Marion – you have posted on your timeline and not in the CTI group. Head over to the group and re-post 😊

Well, in sync music performances may actually be possible by the time you put this all together. JamKazam has it’s issues, but new software is being developed as I write this. I teach at Berklee College of Music, BTW. Good luck with your project!

Dear Shannon, thank you so much for getting in touch -! So cool to know about a fellow musician here at the CTI & also so exciting to hear about this new software – wow! Are you part of the team developing this? Maybe we could even collaborate on that level. I would be delighted to hear more about this. I see you are a sax player – So curious to hear about your project here! :-). I look forward to exchanging notes & ideas. Have a lovely evening!

Hi Marion. No, I don’t code except for “R”, (for statistics) and I certainly don’t have the skills to develop software. I just know it is on the horizon very soon. Some students and professors have been talking about the new technology for accurate synchronization. I’m not doing a music project this time. I’ll save that for my Sabbatical next year. haha. My impossible project is to try to buy a condo in Burnaby, BC. Impossible for sure!

Oh, yes, I read about your project – sounds beautiful – to buy a condo in a beautiful area – ! We will be meeting on the calls for sure! Good luck! 🙂 x

This person, Christiane Karam, might be a good person to connect with on Facebook. Berklee prof. Great singer! Leads the Middle East Ensemble. Involved in SJ projects. If she can’t help you directly she will know others at Berklee who may be able to lend a hand with your project. You can use my name for an intro. I know her very well.

Dear Shannon, thank you so much for letting me know about Christiane Karam – she is indeed an amazing singer – have been listening to some of her music – so beautiful! And thank you for your introduction. I will definitely contact her. Still need to do some tweaking up a few things before I go out into the world with the project … haha!
