Hi Donna, if I remember well, you mentioned Morning Pages during the call today? I have been doing them for the past couple of months. They’re pretty good to become more aware of the thinking we’re experiencing and I find that “getting them out” into the open each morning frees me from believing them – particularly the not so good feeling ones. As Michael says “oh – it’s that suicide thought again” or whatever current annoying thought you’re letting rule your day and make it less than enjoyable… It was nice to see other people also do morning pages 😊

      • I am new to her book The Listening Path.  Morning pages has come up a number of times in the last month so I’m curious about others experiences.

        • Oh, I haven’t (yet) read The Listening Path. Am still working through The Artist’s Way. Are you enjoying your book? Finding it helps you in any way?

          • I have found the invitation to Listening intrigued me.  Listening to this universal wisdom that is US at every level.  I have a perception of journalling that is ‘recording’ it ‘documenting’ what has happened and my thinking around it that  has me not doing morning pages yet.  So curious as this just occured to me.

So approaching this process with curiousity instead of a known outcome is my new point of entry into just playing with it.

What has been your experience with it?

            • I understand your point. I have been journalling for years now, so easily end up not doing the morning pages. My journalling is less of a documenting/recording kind and much more a “venting, getting my emotions out, figuring things out, writing my thoughts out to become aware of them” type of journalling. What I have noticed though, is that on the days that I do take time to write morning pages, I am way more settled. I guess both are ways to help me see that I am on a roller coaster instead of remembering I’m on the barge and all is well. With the morning pages, having to stick to it until three pages are done, really gets what needs to come out, out of me, into the open, at the beginning of the day.  Both help me. And there are some days when I do neither. In the end – just follow guidance 😉 😂
