      Expanding the project:

      MEETINGS WITH REMARKABLE WOMEN

      music inspired by women’s lives

I would like to introduce you to my new musical series ‘Meetings with remarkable women – music inspired by women’s lives’. It feels like a new adventure – but I realized that this has been the red thread through most of my projects and interests over the past 20 years and I look forward for this venture to unfold. It will be a triptych – music about three inspirational women: Malala Yousafzai, Vilma Grunwald and Kisagotami, the main protagonist of a Buddhist parable. What touches me about these women is, that they were able to connect to their innate peace even amidst the most difficult life situations and become larger than life – being in inspiration for all of us.

Each of the three women will be portrayed through music combined with another artform.

      1. Malala Speaks – A song to reach out, connect & inspire for children’s choirs from all the different continents – A short documentary about the experience of the children around the song Malala Speaks with rehearsing & hearing and learning about Malala’s life & performing the Song.

      2. A musical installation as a living sculpture around the love letter of Vilma Grunwald, that she wrote to her husband in Auschwitz, as she was waiting to be brought to the gas chambers with her other son.

      3. Kisagotami – A Ballet about compassion & shared humanity to the ancient Buddhist parable of Kisagotami, who lost her child and was able to let go & became enlightened.
