My book is getting there. 90ish chapters/sections written. Still all written on “notes” on MacBook Pro. I’ve started to move them to “pages” but may well follow the helpful suggestion to use Scrivener instead for ease of editing, formatting and so on.

My Big ask is the what next bit of my project. I will finish a solid first draft in the next two weeks. I want to look at publishing options. I am minded to go down the publisher route rather than self publishing. This baby is special to me. I am a proud father and I want its arrival in to the world to be something I can celebrate with the joy and love that has gone in to it’s creation.

I need an editor with experience of these things. Is it too long, or too short or is it just right? (Apologies to Goldilocks!) I have been amazed already how many pages rough notes quickly translate in to when they go from “notes” to “pages.”

      I need advice about publishing.

I have no idea about Copyright rules. Are there different rules quoting Rumi or Kabir as compared to using a digital image borrowed from the Internet of the Eye of Sauron nebula? I assume I am free to use any of my own art or photography?

I have no idea what costs might be involved in publishing a book?

Can anybody help with any or all of the above?

      Much love

      Ian

PS The book cover seems to be the original image I posted 12 weeks ago or so.

The working title is Finding my Voice; touched by tears.
